EMS Workshop

Trauma remains one of the most time-critical challenges in prehospital care, where the first minutes on scene shape the patient's outcome long before arrival at the emergency department. This hands-on workshop walks paramedics and nurses through three core interventions that keep a trauma patient alive and stable in the field: securing difficult vascular access, controlling catastrophic hemorrhage, and recognizing & decompressing tension pneumothorax. Participants rotate through practical stations led by working SQUH paramedics, practicing each skill on dedicated task trainers the way it's applied on a real call.
